‘Slipsilk™’ Pure Silk Pillowcase Review

You know when you take those intense naps and sometimes wake up with your face squashed and lines that run down your cheek like a road map? Well, I was tired of those. In my mind, those lines would eventually lead to wrinkles. So I considered getting a silk pillowcases.

I always thought they were too fancy for me. And being the girl who occasionally slept in her makeup, I figured it would be a waste of money to get a silk pillowcase; I was sure one day it’d be smeared with black eyeliner and red lipstick. Nevertheless,  I started doing research on silk pillowcases and I decided to invest in the Slipsilk ($85) one from Nordstrom.

During my research I didn’t find any conclusive evidence to show that there is actual science proving its benefits. However, after sleeping on it for the past week or so I can tell you that it’s worked so well for me.

My hair was noticeably smoother, I wouldn’t wake up to broken hairs on my pillowcase. And since my hair is very dry and can break easily so this was a big benefit for me. I also noticed that my skin looked smoother, I don’t know if this can be conclusively attributed to the pillowcase or if it’s just in my head.

Nevertheless, I love the Slipsilk pillowcase and I plan on purchasing another one.

Disclaimer: This is not a paid post, I purchased the pillowcase with my own money.
